Asalaamu Alaikum,
I begin by wishing you and your family a blessed and joyous Eid Asalaamu Alaikum,
I begin by wishing you and your family a blessed and joyous Eid Mubarak,
I also wish to congratulate Mosques and British Muslim communities across the UK for their incredible efforts to protect lives and keep each other safe during the course of this pandemic.
We have seen our faith institutions rise to the occasion; facilitating space for vaccination centres and pop-up clinics, feeding hundreds of thousands of people, ensuring the most destitute and vulnerable have not been forgotten, whilst also providing essential support during difficult times of bereavement and loss. This is a time to really be proud of how far we have come and we pray these efforts are accepted Insha'Allah.
Indeed, the Muslim Council of Britain will continue to work to provide mosques across the country dedicated safety guidance and resources. Our resolve to be of service remains, inshAllah. Our hearts have yearned to worship shoulder to shoulder, and the opportunity finally presents itself.
With infection rates rising yet again, however, we must take it upon ourselves to continue to protect one another, the most vulnerable within our communities. We should remember the importance of wearing masks is still so essential within confined areas.

My prayers for those completing the Hajj pilgrimage, may Allah grant them ease and accept their worship, Ameen.
Wishing you all a blessed and joyous Eid Mubarak,
JazakhaAllah Khair,
Zara Mohammed
