It’s been eight years since one of the most consequential Supreme Court decisions of our time: Shelby County v. Holder. Since this decision, voter suppression across the country has surged with almost 400 restrictive bills introduced in 48 states.

Not only have millions of Americans been purged from the rolls, but Republicans increasingly passed discriminatory voter ID laws and complicated voter registration processes. These tactics are on full display right now in states like Georgia, Arizona, and Texas.

Folks, our democracy is at stake. Can you give $25 to help me continue my work advancing the right to vote for every single American?

My bill, the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, would restore the sacred protections of the Voting Rights Act while simultaneously preventing Republicans across the country from enacting restrictive, anti-voter laws. It’s not too late to undo the damage that’s been done to our voting systems.
