It’s been eight years since one of the most consequential Supreme Court decisions of our time: Shelby County v. Holder. Since this decision, voter suppression across the country has surged with almost 400 restrictive bills introduced in 48 states.

Not only have millions of Americans been purged from the rolls , but Republicans increasingly passed discriminatory voter ID laws and complicated voter registration processes. These tactics are on full display right now in states like Georgia, Arizona, and Texas.
