This is urgent, John. We have a chance tomorrow to pass bipartisan legislation that will support victims of crimes -- but one Republican is threatening to block and delay this important bill.
Here’s what’s happening: the Crime Victims Fund gives states essential funding to provide compensation and assistance to victims of crime, helping them recover and rebuild their lives. But right now, the Crime Victims Fund is historically low on funding and if we don’t act soon, crime victims will see services slashed, especially in rural areas.
I worked out a deal to keep the Crime Victims Fund afloat and we have a crucial opportunity tomorrow to pass it with bipartisan support. But I need your voice right now to overcome Republican efforts to block it. Will you join me, John?

The Crime Victims Fund helps survivors of crimes like child abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking get the care and support they need to recover. It provides funds for emergency shelter and reimbursement for crime victims’ health care costs and lost wages.
We cannot let one Republican delay this important bill and allow funding for crime victims’ assistance to disappear. We have a chance to fix this problem this week, so it’s urgent that we speak up. Add your name now. [[link removed]
