Monday Nature Mystery

Congratulations to Michael for correctly identifying the uncommon Green Milkweed (Asclepias viridiflora) as our Monday Nature Mystery. This milkweed species blooms June through September and prefers full sun and dry soil. ‘Viridiflora’ literally translates to ‘green-flowered’. It is widely distributed across North America, but is considered endangered and threatened in some areas.
