Last week, our team was getting ready to submit our Q2 fundraising numbers
to the FEC—and we noticed something interesting during our prep process
that we wanted to share with you.

Our average donation for Q2 was $26—just shy of $30. Some campaigns might
be concerned if they see their average contribution dip below $100, but
John, we’re proud of this number.

Katie doesn’t take any donations from corporate PACs, executives at Big
Oil companies, Wall Street banks, or lobbyists. Every dollar we raise
sends a powerful message that Katie has strong grassroots support, and
that she’s not going anywhere.

Our average donation is just further proof that our campaign is largely
supported by folks who give what they can, when they can.
And John, as we get closer and
closer to 2022 and the midterm elections, it’ll be increasingly important
to keep up our strong, grassroots fundraising.

The National Republican Congressional Committee announced that Katie is a
top target to unseat in 2022, and we’re getting organized now to remain
competitive against the GOP and powerful Republican Super PACs who are
going to direct large sums of money into our district to flip it back red.
