Hi Everyone!
Here's some of what's going on with the Chapter this week:
-
Our July General Meeting will be this Saturday at noon! This month we'll be electing a new Local Council representative for Comms, discussing the upcoming DSA National Convention, hearing reportbacks on ongoing projects like the Save Our Libraries campaign (and new projects adopted at our own local Convention in June) plus a bunch more! So mark the date and join us if you can!
- Speaking of new projects, our chapter-wide Deep Canvass Campaign- to listen to and build relationships with even more of our working class neighbors across the city- is getting underway. If you'd like to be involved, fill out this handy form.
- Join us this Wednesday, July 21st at 6pm for a self-care social via Zoom! Log on with your favorite meal, snack, or drink and let’s share what’s helped us protect our energy and space a year and a half into this pandemic.
-
🚨🚨🚨 Lastly, friendly reminder that we'll be retiring our old Slack workspace July 23rd! 🚨🚨🚨 If you're not swapped over to the new member-only Slack, please check the #dues-only channel for a link to sign up. If you're a member but don't have access to the old Slack but would like to join the new one, if you have any questions, or if you are unsure of your membership status, please email us and we'll get it sorted out.
Solidarity,
New Orleans Local Council

New to DSA? Check out our chapter's new member resources here. If you've got any questions about how to get involved or the work our chapter is doing, give us a shout at [email protected].
Not yet a member? The most important tool that the working class has is organization. We're strong when we fight together. We have to build a durable, mass political organization to wield the kind of power we need to win real change in our society. If you aren't a dues-paying member of DSA yet, join today!
