The prison at Guantánamo is one of its most brutal and inhumane lasting remnants.
If we can bring our troops home from Afghanistan by Sept. 11 2021, then we can shut down the prison at Guantánamo by then as well.

Guantánamo prison was specifically designed to circumvent the criminal justice system.
The U.S. has imprisoned nearly 800 Muslim men and boys, with 40 remaining to this day -- none of whom have had access to a fair trial during their 20 years of indefinite detention.
Guantanamo has been an international embarrassment, openly contradicting our nation’s belief in due process.
