We’re so grateful for the amazing community of activists and supporters that have helped this chapter flip seats BLUE up and down the eastern US, from Pennsylvania to Virginia to Florida. 2020 was a tough year, and you all still showed up in record numbers to donate, commiserate, and phonebank with us virtually – so we want to start this email with a sincere THANK YOU for all that you have done for state legislatures. Now, we’re kicking into gear for Virginia’s state legislative elections-- we're supporting Joshua Cole’s fragile incumbency in the 28th district and Briana Sewell’s run for the new open seat in the 51st.

What We'll Be Doing:

  1. Sharing more information about our candidates (and giving you the chance to hear from them yourself!)
  2. Breaking into committee groups to discuss and get working on the chapter's voter engagement and fundraising strategy for this campaign cycle
  3. Re-energizing after a difficult year of political roller coasters and a heartbreaking pandemic - we know it's been hard, and we hope you'll come out and join us for organizing and for our famous cookie-gerrymandering, snacks, and some fun surprise activities!

Campaigns are already off and running and need our support now – so we hope to see you at the general meeting on July 29th and ask that you make a donation of $20.21 – or whatever you can afford – as a suggested ‘ticket’ price to attend.

Note: if you are vaccinated, you don't need to wear a mask to attend - but please be prepared to share your proof of vaccination. If you have not yet been vaccinated, please respect public health guidelines and wear a mask when in attendance.
