The Virginia Chamber of Commerce is bringing together leaders in business, economic development, workforce, education, housing, and other community representatives from across the Commonwealth to provide input for Virginia’s next statewide strategic plan. The Blueprint Virginia 2030 Regional Tour meetings will serve to foster greater regional collaboration with the goal of keeping Virginia the best state for business.

  • What would be the most impactful improvement your region could make to help it grow and prosper?
  • What is a priority for your region that Blueprint Virginia 2030 needs to include?

For more information and to participate in the Region 7 virtual meeting visit the Virginia Chamber's website.

A robust transportation network is vital for Arlington’s economic success, and the Chamber supports projects to improve connectivity in Arlington and the broader region. The Chamber applauds the funding for Metro, second entrances at the Ballston and Crystal City Metro stations, and Columbia Pike transit in Arlington County’s Capital Improvement Plan. The Chamber also supports converting the current elevated Richmond Highway, U.S. 1, to an at-grade urban boulevard that will be a true community center for residents, workers, and visitors in National Landing. Regionally, extending the 495 Express Lanes across a rebuilt American Legion Bridge and into Maryland will relieve existing congestion, improve transit options, and reduce emissions through incentives HOV and transit travel.
