Friend,
After just a few short months with President Biden in the White House and Democrats in the majority in the Senate, we've taken important steps to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic and put people back to work – but there's still so much more to do.
Whether it's making sure our economy is working for everyone, tackling the climate crisis head on or fighting to ensure all eligible Americans can fully participate in our democracy, I'm working every day to deliver for Georgians.
I hope you'll take a moment to read this brief update (below) on some of what we've accomplished together – and what's next for our movement. I'm so grateful to have you on my team.

The United States has long been a leader on the global stage – so it’s past time we invest big in our vision for the 21st century. To do that, we’re going to have to increase our ability to compete with technological advancements already in progress across the world. That’s why I’m so proud that the Senate successfully passed the U.S. Innovation and Competition Act.
This bipartisan bill provides funding for technological research and development at a scale we haven’t seen since the 1960s – including dedicated funding for innovation at our HBCUs. That means more good-paying jobs in manufacturing, computing and robotics across Georgia and the nation.

The American Jobs Plan will make long overdue investments in modernizing our nation's infrastructure, revitalizing manufacturing and creating millions of good-paying jobs – all while taking critical steps to tackle climate change.
President Biden has been leading the charge to pass this bill with bipartisan support – because a bipartisan majority of Americans support this bill, too. I'm hopeful we can get monumental infrastructure legislation to the Senate floor as soon as possible. The need is too urgent – and the opportunity too great – to not act quickly.

Across our country, we're seeing the most dangerous and coordinated attack on our constitutional right to vote since Jim Crow. That's why Democrats in the Senate forced a vote on the For the People Act – a landmark piece of legislation that expands voting rights, pushes back on partisan gerrymandering and gets big money out of politics. But unfortunately, Senate Republicans used the filibuster to block our bill.
We can’t be discouraged by temporary setbacks. It’s been a long march for voting rights, and we are just the latest to take up the mantle. We must be unwavering in this fight for justice and ensure every eligible voice can be heard. I'll keep working with my colleagues to make sure voting rights are protected. I hope you'll keep up the fight as well.

Last month, Democrats and Republicans came together to officially declare Juneteenth a national holiday. This important step in the fight toward justice is the culmination of a decades-long fight for national recognition – and an acknowledgement of our nation's complicated past with our own people.
By appropriately commemorating this day in our nation's history, we're committing as a nation to learn from our past and to chart a different course for our future. The march may be long, but we're stronger when we march together.

Thanks for reading, friend. I'm grateful as ever for your support, and I'll keep up the fight for you and your family every day I'm in the Senate. More soon.
All my best,
Sen. Rev. Raphael Warnock
