Republicans have a new obsession: Critical Race Theory. In a blow to the concept of free speech, Florida has become the latest state to ban CRT in classrooms.
Republicans can't agree on what CRT actually is, but the Florida bill defines it as a theory that “racism is embedded in American society and its legal systems in order to uphold the supremacy of white persons.”
The GOP claims CRT is the real threat. After all, why would they want to crack down on right-wing extremists? White supremacists are Donald Trump's and Ron DeSantis' most loyal supporters. That's why we need to get these race-baiters out of office and replace them with leaders who see equality as a solution, not a problem.
