Run for Something

Hi there --

We're three weeks from Election Day 2019, and I couldn't be more proud of our candidates. Running in a local election isn't like running for president, where you spend as much time on TV or at donor events as you do talking to voters directly; local elections are won at the doors, where candidates listen to what folks in their communities are worried about or hopeful for, and then share their plans for the future.

Our candidates are out there before and after work, on weekends, and yes, on federal holidays, often with volunteers or spouses or kids in tow. Today, chip in a few bucks to cheer them on and help Run for Something support as many of these candidates as possible.

The work these folks are doing isn't just about hitting a goal or checking a name off of a spreadsheet. They're learning what voters about the gaps in their representation, sharing stories of common experiences, and getting even more ready to lead. There's no shortcut for that -- just a lot of hard work.

We stand behind our candidates every step of the way. Join us by throwing a few dollars behind our program today.
