The right to access comprehensive reproductive health care is on the line.
Right-wing legislators have been working hard to make it all but impossible for people to access abortion care, with far-right lawmakers in Texas recently passing an appalling law that allows people across the country to sue medical practices in Texas that provide this much needed and life-saving care.
The Women’s Health Protection Act (WHPA) would protect reproductive freedom nationwide, and people who desperately need abortion care cannot wait any longer for it to be passed.

By passing WHPA, our legislators would lift barriers to care that disproportionately harm Black, brown, and Indigenous people, transgender and queer people, disabled people, low-income people, and people living in rural areas – especially those in states where these draconian laws to restrict abortion access are being passed now.
Furthermore, in the face of a post-Trump Supreme Court that’s more conservative than it has been in our lifetimes, the most important ruling for reproductive health care is at serious risk: Roe v. Wade. There are multiple cases currently before the Supreme Court whose rulings could chip away at and even overturn Roe v. Wade, and we need to make sure its protections are codified in federal law before that happens.
To save every person’s right to access abortion, we need urgent action in Congress. With Roe hanging in the balance of a radical right-wing Supreme Court, we don't have time to waste.
