During his July 24th testimony to Congress, Special Counsel Robert Mueller stressed the seriousness of Russia's interference in the 2016 election, warning that *Russia is working to undermine the 2020 election "as we speak."* Senator Mitch McConnell later approved [ [link removed] ] an additional $250 million in funding for states to pursue more secure elections systems. *But that's not enough to combat such a powerful threat.*

A report released by the Senate Intelligence Committee found that the Russian government targeted election systems in all 50 states in 2016, a scope far larger than previously believed, and is likely still infiltrating our election infrastructure. Contrary to the assurances [ [link removed] ] of officials like former National Association of Secretaries of State President Connie Lawson, electronic voting machines are frequently connected to the Internet [ [link removed] ] through hackable wireless modems and compromised by remote-access software [ [link removed] ] that allows outsiders to view and change votes. Cybersecurity experts warn [ [link removed] ] that hackers are capable of deleting people from voter registration rolls and creating attacks that spread like viruses between machines, seriously jeopardizing the accuracy of election results.

Without hand-marked paper ballots and robust audits, there can be no way to identify and remedy these violations.

The good news is that we have a plan to fix this. Free Speech For People is fighting for free and fair elections with secure, verifiable, and reliable voting technology. We've teamed up with the National Election Defense Coalition to sue [ [link removed] ] Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson for access to public records on the security and reliability of voting machines.

And we are working with the NEDC and Citizens for Better Elections in Pennsylvania to challenge [ [link removed] ] the Pennsylvania Secretary of the Commonwealth for sanctioning the use of new voting machines in the state which contain serious defects in violation of Pennsylvania election law.
