John,

For at least the past decade, Big Oil & Gas corporations like ExxonMobil and Chevron have been using dangerous chemicals in their fracking operations. These chemicals are pumped into the ground and some break down into toxic substances known as PFAS.

Long-term exposure to these PFAS “forever chemicals” has been associated with health problems including thyroid disease, weakened immunity, and cancer.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has long promised to set safety standards and address the widespread water contamination caused by PFAS. But in reality, it consistently fails to regulate these dangerous chemicals. Even worse, it has been allowing Big Oil & Gas to deliberately endanger millions of Americans by using PFAS substances for fracking. This can’t continue.

Will you make an urgent donation to help stop the use of PFAS and push the EPA to do its job and protect Americans? Yes, I’ll rush a gift of $35 or more.

Records obtained under the Freedom of Information Act by the nonprofit group Physicians for Social Responsibility are among the first public indications that PFAS chemicals are present in the fluids used in drilling and fracking operations.

A decade ago, the EPA identified serious health risks associated with these chemicals proposed for use in oil and gas extraction, yet shamelessly allowed those chemicals to be used with little to no regulation. We need to demand that the EPA does its job and revokes this approval now. But to make sure President Biden’s EPA fulfills its duty to protect communities from environmental harm, we need your support. Together, we'll take on Big Oil & Gas's army of lobbyists and make the EPA do its job.

John, we’re mobilizing to build the grassroots support needed to push regulators and lawmakers on both sides of the aisle to take action on PFAS. Will you join us?

Make a tax-deductible gift now and join our fight against PFAS. Together, we will put an end to use of these dangerous “forever chemicals” and pressure the EPA to finally do its job: protecting our communities!
