John,

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp just released his first ad of the cycle, and he's going all in on attacking Stacey Abrams and her “liberal mob” for “putting their political agenda ahead of ... the truth.”

That's right: The man who purged hundreds of names from voter rolls to defeat Stacey Abrams in 2018 and just signed a massive voter suppression bill to help himself win again in 2022 is accusing voting rights champion Abrams of ruining Georgia's elections.

Well, we have news for Kemp, John. If fighting for voting rights, free and fair elections, and the right of every American -- no matter the color of their skin -- to vote, makes us a “liberal mob,” then we're glad to be a part of it.

Stacey Abrams is exactly the kind of leader we need defending our democracy in Georgia, one of the biggest battleground states going into 2022 and 2024. That's why we're determined to have her back as she works to flip Georgia blue a third time -- but it's clearer than ever that we need you with us.

The GOP's “Stop Stacey” group, led by Kemp's allies, just pulled in $240,000 to smear Abrams' name nationwide and make sure she never makes it to the governor's mansion -- and our grassroots donations have dried up.

It's clear Brian Kemp and the rest of the GOP are scared of us, and it's not hard to see why. We pulled off the “impossible” in 2020. We elected the first woman vice president in history, helped progressive powerhouses like Stacey Abrams flip Georgia blue TWICE to secure the Senate, and elected a record number of women to the House.

We know we can keep making progress, but only if we work together.

Thank you for staying with us in this fight for a truly representative government.

P.S. Brian Kemp promised that he and his allies are “going to keep fighting” to control Georgia's elections, and we know it's going to be an uphill battle to support Stacey Abrams' fight for voting rights. Please, if you believe we need more progressive women like Abrams fighting for us at all levels of government, contribute $25 now to keep our efforts moving forward.
