President Biden gave a passionate speech advocating for historic voting
rights protections earlier this week. He even went as far as to say that
we are facing the most significant test of our democracy since the Civil
War.
But something critical was missing: Biden did not say anything about the
filibuster. It’s not enough for the President to just talk about voting
rights. He
NEEDS to talk about ending the filibuster so we can deliver on them.
Pramila is fighting each day to end the filibuster and protect our
democracy. It’s clearly an uphill fight, and that’s why we have to ask
you:

voting rights? Our future elections quite literally depend on action
TODAY.

If we do not end the filibuster right away, our democracy will only face
greater threats. The GOP’s shameless efforts to hide what happened on
January 6 led them to use the filibuster to block the creation of a
bipartisan commission to fully investigate the deadly attack on the
Capitol.
But that’s not all. Republican-controlled state legislatures across the
country are passing hundreds of restrictive voter suppression laws. If the
GOP continues getting its way, more people will lose their right to vote
and Republicans will have built in electoral advantages.
We must take action NOW. People across America need more than speeches,
they need an end to the filibuster and for the Senate to pass the For The
People Act. [ [link removed] ]If you agree, chip in $3 so we can keep the
pressure on our fellow Democrats to end the filibuster and deliver voting
rights.
