I hope you are all staying safe as the summer temperatures steadily rise. Now more than ever, I’m thinking about the climate crisis. This summer we’ve already seen:
➔ A giant fire erupt in the Gulf of Mexico after a pipeline leak.
➔ The heat dome caused dangerously high temperatures in the Pacific Northwest.
➔ Exxon’s leaked video about how they use political lobbyists to undercut progressive climate legislation.
And now, another heat wave is set to put more of the country, particularly southern California, in danger. We need environmental justice now.
We need bold, unapologetic, progressive advocates in Congress. People who are willing to fight for climate justice and for policies that prioritize saving our earth. Sign my petition to become a grassroots supporter of my campaign for aggressive climate change legislation that matches the urgency of the climate crisis.

I know climate change affects Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities first. We need environmental legislation that addresses the effects of environmental racism and protects our most vulnerable populations.
That’s why I support legislation like the Green New Deal. The Green New Deal is a pathway out of poverty for communities that have been dealing with environmental racism for decades, while simultaneously transitioning us to a green economy. 100% clean and renewable energy should be the standard.
