Great news, John.

This past week, 36 million families with kids have started receiving the enhanced child tax credit. In CA-49 alone, 124,800 families are eligible for the monthly payments we passed through Congress.

Experts are saying this measure will have the single greatest impact on child poverty ever.

We're making progress to lift children out of poverty, but for kids in single-parent households, the tax credit is harder to get. That's why I'm cosponsoring a bill introduced by Rep. Katie Porter and other Democrats that would strike the "single parent penalty" from the tax code.

Every kid should have access to this potentially life-changing support. If you're with me, add your name to my petition to show your support for making sure every kid who is eligible gets benefits from the expanded child tax credit.

One can argue that children in single parent households have a bigger need for this tax credit. They deserve as much support as those living in homes with two parents.

This legislation is one of the most sweeping anti-poverty measures we've seen come out of Washington in years. Let's improve it by making sure all children are included -- regardless of the marital status of their parents.

Help me make this final push to make sure every kid -- no matter if their in a single parent household -- benefits from this historic measure >> [link removed]
