Earlier this month, the Department of Justice took long-overdue action to
pause federal executions — but more must be done to abolish the federal
death penalty once and for all. 

Congress must act with urgency to pass the Federal Death Penalty
Prohibition Act, Ayanna’s transformative bill to abolish the federal death
penalty and prevent its resurrection by a future presidential
administration. 

Ayanna is leading the fight to abolish the death penalty and is building a
massive coalition with the power to end this draconian, cruel
