Sen. Schumer plans to bring the bipartisan infrastructure deal to a vote within the week. Before the vote, we must make it clear that climate and equity MUST remain priorities in the plan.
In an attempt to overcome Republican opposition, Senator Schumer may compromise our values and significantly cut back the fight against climate change and for racial and economic equity.
Failure to include strong environmental provisions will once again leave low-income and communities of color to bear the brunt of climate change.
