This week, I toured the U.S. Southern Border and saw the effects of the Biden Border Crisis, rallied activists in Los Angeles to demand freedom and justice for millions of Americans trapped in unjust conservatorships, and much more. Here’s our week in review:
REP. GAETZ VISITS THE SOUTHERN BORDER
Yesterday morning, I toured the San Ysirdo Port of Entry with Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) officials in San Diego, California, to examine first-hand the border security efforts of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Alongside this visit, I issued a letter to Inspector General Joseph Cuffari urging an investigation into the Biden Administration’s Department of Homeland Security’s refusal to cooperate with local law enforcement agencies in deporting criminal illegal aliens. A nation that cannot control its borders is not a nation.

CALIFORNIA CROWD ERUPTS IN CHEERS AS REP. GAETZ DEMANDS FREEDOM FOR BRITNEY SPEARS
At the behest of the media, a grifter father, and the American justice system, Britney Spears has been abused and taken advantage of. Congress must unite and pass federal reform to change the way the conservatorship system works in America. I spoke at the Free Britney rally in Los Angeles, California outside her hearing’s courthouse to lend my support to the movement and call for bipartisan action immediately.

REP. GAETZ JOINS NEWSMAX TO DISCUSS FBI’S ENCOURAGEMENT OF FAMILIAL SPYING
On Tuesday, I joined Cortes & Pellegrino on Newsmax to discuss the FBI’s encouragement of families to “snitch” on one another. When the FBI is too busy trying to make us believe that our family members and neighbors are extremists, we miss the opportunity to focus on and investigate important threats.

REP. GAETZ COSPONSORS RESOLUTION CONDEMNING CHINA’S HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS
Like many of you, I am deeply concerned about Democrats ignoring and underplaying the threat of Communist China. Because they too often need reminders of the evil of the CCP’s regime, I cosponsored Rep. Mike Gallagher’s H. Res. 500: Condemning the Chinese Communist Party for 100 years of gross violations of human rights and standing with the Chinese people in their struggle for liberty.

REP. GAETZ COSPONSORS BILL PROHIBITING MANDATORY CONTRACEPTION FOR THOSE IN CONSERVATORSHIPS
This week I cosponsored the "Conservatorships Immoral Relationship with Contraception in the United States (CIRCUS) Act." In light of the #FreeBritney movement, Congress is beginning to stand up against the evils that are present in conservatorship. This bill would prevent healthcare providers from participating in federal healthcare programs if they deny the removal of contraceptive devices without the approval of an individual’s conservator or knowingly prescribe birth control to the individual without her consent.

ICYMI: REP. GAETZ HONORS FALLEN SOLDIERS AT EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE
Last Friday, I had the opportunity to memorialize 22 fallen soldiers from the 7th Special Forces Group with service members at Eglin Air Force Base. These men were the best among us and inspired the best within us. We will never forget their ultimate sacrifice.
ESCAMBIA COUNTY'S 200th BIRTHDAY
Saturday, July 17 will mark the 200th anniversary of Escambia County, Florida! Today, I introduced a Resolution commemorating and celebrating Escambia County. Northwest Florida is full of history, essential to the fabric of American culture.

NEW MAINTENANCE FACILITY AT PETER PRINCE AIRPORT
On Wednesday, Santa Rosa County and Leonardo Helicopters officials were present at a ribbon-cutting event, celebrating a brand new facility at Peter Prince Airport. This facility will provide approximately 50 new jobs to northwest Florida. Job creation and economic growth are the foundation of American success, as well as great news for our local community.
