Governor Ducey Unveils Banner Supporting Phoenix Suns At Capitol
The banner will hang from the Arizona State Capitol Executive Tower through the end of the Finals. It can be seen from the east side of the Capitol complex from downtown Phoenix. The Capitol dome is also lit at sundown in the Phoenix Suns team colors of purple and orange.
Governor Ducey Invests In Tourism For Continued Economic Recovery
Governor Ducey this week announced $101.1 million in federal American Rescue Plan funding to launch the Visit Arizona Initiative, a bold program designed to increase visitation and tourism spending in Arizona, bolster job creation and accelerate economic recovery.

"Examples of planned funding uses include destination and travel marketing, local programs and events, state park improvements, Arizona State Fair marketing and a workplace initiative for the hospitality industry, Ducey's statement said."

Governor Ducey Issues Declaration Of Emergency In Response To Flooding In Coconino County
Rain fall in areas of Northern Arizona that have significant burn scars from the 2019 Museum Fire has resulted in flash flooding that has caused road closures and damaged private property, roadway and drainage systems. In response, Governor Ducey issued a Declaration of Emergency, making up to $200,000 available for response efforts.
Governor Ducey Deposits $759 Million In Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund
In partnership with the Arizona Legislature, Governor Ducey deposited $759M of the American Rescue Plan in the Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund to further protect Arizona’s job creators from a tax increase while ensuring that resources are there for those who need them.
Governor Ducey Names Northern Arizona University Student To Arizona Board Of Regents
Governor Ducey named Rachel Kanyur the next student regent on the Arizona Board of Regents. Kanyur is a sophomore with a 4.0 GPA at Northern Arizona University studying exercise science.
