Dear
  John,

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Wilbur Fellowship at the Russell Kirk Center.  We celebrated this milestone in August by hosting a wonderful gathering of former Fellows from across the decades.

The Wilbur Fellowship affords students and scholars the ideal conditions in which to conduct important research and writing projects.  Fellows have completed books, essays, reviews, and theses while in residence.  Our frequent seminars contribute to a close and stimulating intellectual environment.

During the gathering in August, we invited Fellow alumni to discuss their experiences studying and living at the Center.  We’re pleased to present their reflections about this vibrant academic community in this new short video.

Watch as former Wilbur Fellows describe how the program has shaped their lives.

“I have never spent a more meaningful or consequential semester of my life than my time as a Wilbur Fellow in 2004.”
- Aaron McLeod -

The alumni that appear in this film and the many others planted around the world give me great hope that our cultural foundations can be renewed.  We look forward to welcoming more aspiring students and professors to join this remarkable group of Wilbur Fellows.

Sincerely,

Annette Kirk, President
The Russell Kirk Center for Cultural Renewal
