Anonymous and unvetted sources have been eager to share vague, ominous statements with the political press about how Kamala Harris' office suffers from low morale, communication breakdowns, and overall dysfunction. These baseless accusations are being leveled at Harris' management style to bring disproportionate scrutiny upon the first woman to sit behind the vice president's desk.
It's no secret that a man in power with Harris' record wouldn't be getting these same accusations. Despite making history as both the first woman and already one of the most effective VPs in history, Kamala Harris is now being penalized for traits that are praised in men.
We have an opportunity here that can't be ignored. We must correct the record on her performance and set the stage for every woman who will come after her. We must show our unequivocal support for Vice President Kamala Harris.
