Friend,
Greg Abbott is spending every waking moment trying to pass his voter suppression bill. It’s his top priority.
But while he tries to undermine voting rights, his administration is failing Texans:
- COVID cases are quickly rising and hospitalizations are up 75% since late June
- Half a million people who lost jobs in the pandemic are still out of work
- The Texas power grid is still broken as we head into a hot summer, and Abbott has not spent a dime to fix it
If you’re ready to get rid of Greg Abbott and the Texas Republicans trying to undermine voting rights, pitch in to support People First. A $15 donation goes a long way to support our work. >>> [link removed]
Friend, the power crisis in Texas this past year killed at least 700 people, did almost $200 billion in damages, and left 5 million families without heat or power. Texans were rightfully outraged and demanded the system be fixed.
But Greg Abbott and his Republican colleagues don’t care about fixing the problem. Why? Greg Abbott has taken more than $26,000,000 from the oil and gas industry. His Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick took $4 million in 2018 alone. And Attorney General Ken Paxton received more money from oil and gas than any other industry.
Texas Republicans are trying to suppress the vote and undermine our voting rights to stay in power. They want to keep cashing checks from their buddies in the oil and gas industry, instead of serving Texans.
It’s time we get rid of all of them. People First is working to unseat Abbott, Patrick, Paxton and every other Republican who tries to take away Texans’ voting rights. Can you pitch in $15 to help our efforts? >> [link removed]
Together we can build a better Texas -- one where our elected officials represent the people. Thank you for all your hard work.
