The science is clear: vaccines work.

 

As of today, 99.5% of all COVID-related deaths in America are among unvaccinated people.

 

But Jim Jordan continues to push anti-vaccine propaganda: he actively discourages vaccines and treats them as if they are oppressive. He’s undermining the only way to defeat the pandemic to please Donald Trump and his extremist supporters. 

 

Jim Jordan has provided no other realistic alternative to defeating COVID-19 and he is feeding conspiracy theories that can kill people who take him seriously. He is deliberately misleading people about something that will increase their risk of hospitalization and death.

 

Michael Gerson said it best in his recent op-ed: “This is not just the sacrifice of conscience for political reasons. It is the sacrifice of citizens.”

 

I don’t know how Jim Jordan gets out of bed in the morning. He’s slandering safe, effective vaccines and putting those who listen to him in danger.

 

The people of Ohio deserve better- Jim Jordan isn’t looking out for us.
