When we asked our dad what he wanted for his birthday, he made some joke about hitting his monthly fundraising goal.

Well, joke’s on him: we’re going to surprise him by raising $1,000 for his campaign on his birthday! Will you help us?

We reached out to Dave (dad’s campaign manager) to send out this email. Dave wasn’t sure if people would be checking their inboxes on a Friday afternoon, but we convinced him to give it a shot -- because this is going to be the best surprise ever!
