Hi John,
As local elections heat up, the need for bold, decisive action to address the gun violence epidemic is more clear than ever. In the first 193 days of 2021, more than 23,000 people have been killed by guns in the U.S.
Local elected leaders have a HUGE role to play in the fight against gun violence. They are responsible for the implementation of existing gun laws, overseeing law enforcement, funding community-based violence prevention programs, advocating for statewide progress, and more. That’s why this year’s elections are so important. We need courageous leaders in office at every level of government who will champion the fight for a safer future.
Today, we’re asking you to join us in pledging to be a gun responsibility voter this year. Here’s what you can do:
1. Confirm you’re registered to vote! Go to: [link removed]
2. Do your homework.
3. Show that you’re a Gun Responsibility Voter with a Facebook Frame! Go to your Facebook page, click the camera icon on your profile picture - > “edit profile picture” - > “add frame” - > then search “gun responsibility”.
Thanks for being on our team,
Nelago (she/her)
