We are in a voting rights crisis across the country. Here’s how you can help:
The battle over our voting rights is reaching a fever pitch, friend. All year long, radical state legislatures have been introducing outrageous voter suppression bills.
But this week, a group of Democratic legislators from Texas is finally saying, “Enough is enough.” In a stunning act of political courage, Texas Democrats are risking arrest by flying to D.C. in an attempt to stop Republicans from passing new voting restrictions.
Clearly, Republicans are set on gutting our democracy, and voter suppression bills are their weapon of choice. With so much at risk, we desperately need public officials willing to defend our voting rights using every tool they have. And that’s why Democratic Attorneys General are stepping up for you and our democracy.
Earlier this week, President Biden declared this crisis “the most significant test of our democracy since the Civil War,” and Dem AGs will continue leading on the frontlines – working hand-in-hand with local organizers and elected Democrats up and down the ballot.
These assaults on our freedoms are coming from Republican officials in every part of the country, which means we’re going to need a powerful network of grassroots supporters to ensure we can protect our Dem AGs at the ballot box, and elect new voting rights champions to fight alongside them.
