Democrat,
Ever since he announced his run for Governor, Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli has worked overtime to appeal to the far right, Trump-obsessed base of the Republican Party. From speaking at a “Stop the Steal” rally seeking to overturn the results of the Presidential election, to adopting right wing talking points on denying reproductive freedom, preventing a minimum wage increase and more, Ciattarelli has waged a campaign that is clearly out of step with New Jersey. This week that campaign took an even uglier turn, as Assemblyman Ciattarelli was caught on tape making bigoted, hurtful remarks [[link removed]] about the LGBTQ community. With each passing day, Jack Ciattarelli makes it more and more clear that he is no moderate -- he’s another extremely conservative Republican who we cannot allow to win in November.

Governor Murphy traveled to Washington this week to join a bipartisan group of governors and mayors to support President Biden’s infrastructure plan. Calling the plan a “gamechanger for New Jersey,” [[link removed]] the Governor cited the positive impact it will have on the state’s roads, bridges, public transit, water systems and much more. Following the meeting Governor Murphy continued working to support the plan, meeting with leaders like Senator Bob Menendez, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and others.

President Biden and Democrats throughout the nation are celebrating the first payments of the new Child Tax Credit being dispersed this week. This landmark new program will support millions of working families with much needed extra income to help with the expenses of raising children, while simultaneously giving the economy a boost with increased consumer spending as we continue our recovery from the pandemic. Passed as part of the recovery act despite receiving zero Republican votes, the Child Tax Credit is more proof that only the Democratic Party is focused on helping families make ends meet.
Thank you,
