“Anti-Semitism is the hatred that never dies. Violence that begins with the Jews never ends with them. ...Anti-Semitism is the oldest hatred in the world because individual people have sustained it in every generation. It cannot be defeated until we look these people and their ideologies in the face.”

Egypt has recently discovered that brokering an agreement with Hamas – the designated terrorist organization that governs the Gaza Strip – and the Palestinian Authority ([link removed](EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_6_16_2021_23_54_COPY_01)&mc_cid=65bd3f74c4&mc_eid=UNIQID) , which governs part of the West Bank, might be impossible, given that the two sides have been at war with each other since 2007, following a violent coup by Hamas. And it doesn’t matter that this agreement is concerning reconstruction from the 11-day war in May. Even Palestinians have long accused both Hamas and the PA of corruption. Both parties insist that they should be the sole group in charge of rebuilding and that all aid must go directly through their respective governments. The international community has yet to learn, but Hamas should never be trusted.

Some 55% of Hamas’s budget is allocated for its military “needs,” while less than 5% goes to improving the Gaza ([link removed](EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_6_16_2021_23_54_COPY_01)&mc_cid=65bd3f74c4&mc_eid=UNIQID) standard of living, and international organizations’ aid comprises 65% of the total investment in the Gaza Strip. Hamas senior political leader Ismael Haniyeh recently racked up a bill of over $1 million at the Mandarin Oriental in Doha, a five-star hotel. Meanwhile, the war that Hamas had planned, beginning May 9, led to the deaths of hundreds of their own people, as Haneyeh preached to the world – fairly successfully – about how poor the Palestinians are.

On Tuesday, July 13, the Islamic Republic of Iran brazenly attempted to kidnap Iranian- American journalist Masih Alinejad from her home in Brooklyn and bolt back to Tehran via speedboats. An indictment unsealed from a federal court in New York indicates this plot was orchestrated directly by an Iranian intelligence network.

This is on top of a long list of Iran’s recent malfeasance, including drone attacks against U.S. forces in Iraq, killing a U.S. contractor, the precariously close trailing of Iranian vessels near U.S. Coast Guard ships in international waters and the debasing way that the American delegation has been treated in their attempt to revive the nuclear talks in Vienna.

We have also seen that International Atomic Energy Administration (IAEA) officials are being denied access to nuclear sites in Iran, and that Iran has continued to be behind most of the terrorist groups sowing havoc in the Middle East.

A horrific hardliner, Ebrahim Raisi, known as “The Butcher of Tehran” has been selected, rather than elected, to be the Islamic Republic’s next President.

Yet, United States is planning on lifting all sanctions on Iran, throwing caution to the wind, and proceeding with the nuclear talks to revive the fundamentally flawed JCPOA, the 2015 Iranian nuclear deal.

What is behind this single-minded determination? Who are the people in the Biden administration behind this idea? Do they not realize that Iran has been behind some of the most destabilizing events in the Middle East in the last several years? In order to answer these questions and more, we are delighted to have Behnam Ben Taleblu with us once again.
