They knew full well the consequences they'd face while fighting to save our democracy — but they bravely chose to advocate for the needs of the people instead of being influenced by Texas Republicans like Greg Abbott.
Our fight to combat voter suppression — to ensure that everyone has a voice and vote in our democracy — is one that impacts our entire nation. Millions of Americans, mostly Black, brown, and poor, are unable to vote due to restrictive laws that prevent them from accessing key resources for voter registration.
