** CANDLELIGHT VIGIL THIS SATURDAY **

TOMORROW, Saturday, July 17 is the one year mark of the passing of Rep. John Lewis.

Saturday evening, side-by-side with many allies, we will hold GOOD TROUBLE: JOHN LEWIS CANDLELIGHT VIGILS nationwide demanding Congress protect our freedom to vote, pass the For the People Act, and reform the filibuster to get the job done.

Then, chip in to our organizing on Capitol Hill, with West Virginia voters, and with veterans nationwide to pass the For The People Act.

And, click here to sign onto a letter from veterans telling senators to protect the right to vote for all Americans.

Six months have passed since the January 6 attack on our nation and our democracy. Racist voter suppression laws have been passed in states across the country, and more are on the way.

This conservative Supreme Court has made clear with recent rulings that they will not protect the sacred right to vote. Congressional districts risk being redrawn in a way that will allow politicians to choose their voters rather than the voters fairly choosing who represents them.

We have reached an inflection point in which we must pressure our elected officials into acting now or risk losing the very foundation of our country.

We must pass the For the People Act, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, and D.C. Statehood Initiative -- and we can’t let anything, including the Jim Crow filibuster, stand in our way!

Join us for the Good Trouble Vigils for Democracy TOMORROW, Saturday, July 17th -- the 1-year mark of the passing of Rep. John Lewis -- as we carry on his legacy by demanding that Congress protect our freedom to vote and rebuild our democracy.
