Member BBQ Highlights!
In case you missed our BBQ…wait, no one should have missed our BBQ! It was our first in-person event since the pandemic. And in addition to seeing many of our members for the first time in more than a year, we had appearances from U.S. Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer, New York State Assemblymembers Carmen De La Rosa and Al Taylor, Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer, and City Council District 7 candidate Shaun Abreu.

We took our new staff and summer interns on a “toxics & treasures” tour of Harlem, with Charles Callaway showing us the environmental justice challenges we’ve faced in our community and the successes we’ve achieved.
