Folks,

If half of the US Senate didn't believe in gravity, I still wouldn't advocate for jumping off of buildings.

The fact that the GOP has abandoned any semblance of allegiance to truth has made it too easy to frame those who accept and deal with the facts on everything from commonsense gun reforms to climate science as the “far left”.

Don't accept the frame. Physics isn’t partisan, even if accepting it is. Democracy isn’t partisan, even if fighting to protect ours is.

Because as a friend once told me, the only thing that matters in the end is if our children are proud of us -- and they won’t tolerate any excuse that we settled for the politically possible, if that falls short of what is necessary.

If we’re going to move our country forward, we have got to lead. We can’t afford to let procedural constraints or Republican cowardice get in the way, which means we’ve got to defend our Democratic House majority -- if you’re with me in the fight for bold action on climate, gun safety, healthcare, and more, make a donation now to help our campaign reach 3,500 online contributions by midnight tomorrow >>

The painful truth is that GOP extremism has left no room for moderate positions.

You’re either with us in the fight to secure our democracy and ensure a habitable planet for generations to come -- or you’re in the way.

Thank you for taking a stand,

Sean Casten
