Take Action
Washington has issued a kill order on two more wolves. Help end this
senseless cycle of killing!
Take Action!

Dear Defender of
Wildlife,
The rugged, dense forests of northeastern Washington are ideal wolf
habitat. And that's proven deadly to the region's wolves.
As you read this, one wolf has already been killed as part of a kill
order issued on a pair of wolves who made their home in these forests.
It's the fourth year in a row that the state has signed a death
warrant for wolves in the same area of National Forest.
This is a preventable crisis. Despite repeated conflicts between
cattle and wolves in the area, the U.S. Forest Service has failed to
change how, when or where cattle are permitted to graze in this prime
wolf habitat. And year after year, wolves in the area are sentenced to
death
Entire packs have been wiped out.
Don't let more wolves die - tell the Forest Service to end these
needless conflicts!

These cruel kill orders aren't working as a deterrent. Even
after eliminating wolves from the area, new packs find their way back
to these forests. This prime habitat will continue to attract wolves
- and unless the Forest Service changes course, wolf killings
will continue.
STOP SENSELESS WOLF KILLINGS >>

Defenders is on the ground in the region, working with landowners,
ranchers and state officials to design and implement solutions that
protect wolves while minimizing wolf-livestock conflicts.
Gunning down wolves year after year is not the answer. With your help,
wolves can return safely to their historic range, where they belong.
Take action and tell the Forest Service: Prevent wolf-livestock
conflict and end wolf killings!
