This is frightening. >>

Severe flooding in Pennsylvania. Wildfires on the West Coast. Blistering heat waves on both West and East coasts. The hottest June on record in the U.S. A record eight natural disasters in the first six months of the year alone. Billions in damages.

In Louisiana, sea levels have risen 1,883 square miles over the course of the past century. If that were to happen here in Delaware, our state would be wiped off the map.

There’s no question, John—extreme weather events are becoming more frequent and intense. It’s frightening to say the least.

Our future isn’t written in stone though. We can still do something about climate change -- but we cannot wait any longer to take action.

BREAKING NEWS: Extreme weather across the U.S. fueled by climate change

Infrastructure and climate change go hand in hand.

We saw it in Texas where extreme weather cut off energy sources earlier this year. In Portland, extreme heat melted transit cables.

We can make our infrastructure—our electrical grids, our transit, our water systems—more climate-resilient while also making it cleaner and greener. That’s why I’m fighting for President Biden’s ambitious American Jobs Plan in Congress to rebuild our infrastructure, address the climate crisis, and create clean-energy jobs across our country.

If we’re going to protect our planet for future generations, we must take action now—and it’s going to take all of us getting involved to move the needle forward. Today, I’m asking you to get involved—add your name and join our fight for climate action and climate-resilient infrastructure.

Keep fighting the good fight,

Tom
