• Continue support for the waiver of intellectual property for lifesaving medical tools—not just vaccines, but treatments and tests, too.
• Open the black box to reveal how pharmaceutical corporations spend taxpayer dollars to bring vaccines and other medical tools to market.

While high-income countries have administered almost 44 percent of the world’s vaccine doses to date, low-income countries have administered just one percent. Every day that passes is another missed opportunity to protect millions of people.

The United States government has secured enough doses to protect its entire population of 330 million and still have more than half a billion surplus doses left over. The Biden administration's pledge to share a small portion of America’s COVID-19 vaccine surplus and purchase 500 million doses for distribution globally is a strong start—but more can be done.
