Yesterday, millions of American families received their first of six monthly payments thanks to the expanded Child Tax Credit passed as part of the American Rescue Plan . Thanks to your support to send Democratic majorities to Congress, we are projected to cut child poverty in half this year.

It’s one of the many ways my Democratic colleagues and I are working to rebuild our economy and deliver progress for the American people.

The contrast with House Republicans could not be more stark.

Not a single Republican voted to help alleviate child poverty, speed up vaccinations, and provide survival checks to struggling Americans. Instead, they’ve spent the last few months wrapped up in dangerous conspiracy theories and currying favor with the far right.

There’s still so much work to be done. And the GOP continues to place party loyalty and big money interests above bipartisan compromise and legislative progress. We need a strong grassroots movement to keep delivering progress for the American people.
