The blatant attack on basic voting rights in Texas that prompted Democratic legislators to fly to D.C. is also happening here in Michigan.

From adding restrictions to in person voting to banning early voting options, the Michigan GOP has introduced dozens of bills to make voting harder.

It’s an astonishing, outright attempt to double down on Donald Trump’s voter suppression tactics. We can’t afford to sit back and do nothing about it.

We need to stand together for our constitutional rights -- including our freedom to vote.
