Over 15,000 workers in DC were excluded from COVID relief from the federal government. We are calling on the DC Council to meet this urgent financial need by putting $200 million in this year's budget for cash assistance for excluded workers! Right before Chairman Mendelson announces his proposed budget, join up to SHOW UP for excluded workers and demand $200 million!

The Heroes Pay Act will provide a one-time payment to the many essential workers who risked their health and their lives by working during the pandemic. This bill requires 20 million in order to ensure that a large portion of essential workers can benefit from it. Please call the Council now and ask them to support and fully fund the Heroes Pay Act.
