While Texas House Democrats are still on vacation in D.C., the Texas Senate has been hard at work for the people of Texas. Here are the bills the Texas Senate passed this week:

* Election Integrity: Senate Bill 1 ensures that every Texas election is honest and accurate.
* We provided a 13th Check for Retired Teachers by passing Senate Bill 7. This is yet another way we can honor their commitment to our children and to the future of Texas.
* Bail Reform: In some Texas cities, repeat and violent offenders roam free on personal recognizance or very low bail, putting our communities and law enforcement at risk. Senate Bill 6, when finally passed, will stop that.
* The Fair Sports for Women and Girls bill ensures that men and boys will not be allowed to compete against women and girls in individual and team sports or for sports scholarships.
* The Social Media Censorship bill prohibits social media companies from denying Texans their right to free speech or discriminating against them because of their point of view.
* Property Tax Relief: Senate Bills 8 and 12 will save Texas homeowners nearly $250 million in the 2022-2023 biennium, and over $500 million for the 2024-2025 biennium.

Texas House Democrats are grandstanding in the swamp because they won't do what Texans want – improve public safety, stand for public education, and provide property tax relief. These are smart conservative policies that are good for everyone.

For these bills to be passed into law, the Texas House Democrats who fled the state will be required to return to the Texas House for a quorum. If they do not, these bills will die. However, the Senate will pass these bills over and over again until the House finally has a quorum.

Please continue to keep our state and our nation in your prayers. May God bless you and your family, and may He continue to bless the greatest state of all—Texas.

Sincerely,
