Since I defended Chick-fil-A, the Left has gone nuts. Again.

John, Since I told you yesterday about defending Chick-fil-A from liberal attacks, the Left has gone nuts. Again. I hope we don't have to, but I will go to war for the principles Chick-fil-A stands for. Great food. Great service. Great values. The latest insanity comes from Notre Dame where liberal students are outraged by the idea of Chick-fil-A coming to their campus. I called them out and stood for my favorite chicken sandwich restaurant just like I did when New York Democrats wanted to ban them from state rest stops. This is dangerous. It's time we all push back on liberals' insane "cancel culture." Please stand with me to help bring common sense back to Washington and beat some of these liberals who are spouting this nonsense. New York Democrats are trying to block Chick-fil-A from state rest stops. I hope this threat is all bluster from left-wing New York politicians, but I'm afraid it's not. If government limits a commercial business because the business exercises its First Amendment rights, it would set a horrible precedent. It would also be ferociously opposed by many Members of Congress, including me. When federal funds are shared with states, it never enters my mind to look at the politics of the state on hot-button social issues to determine whether they should be eligible to receive funding. Such a move by New York against Chick-fil-A would create unnecessary upheaval at a time when the country needs to move forward in respecting sincerely held differences of opinion. The actions by the Left in New York make one thing clear: "cancel culture" has run amok in America, and it is more important than ever to have elected officials who will stand up to these ridiculous ploys by the Radical Left. That's why we need to reclaim the majority in the United States Senate. From rising inflation to chaos at the southern border, it's clear that the Democrats' control in Washington is dangerous to the future of our nation. We must do whatever we can to restore the conservative reforms of the last 4 years, but I need your help. Chick-fil-A is a lawful business with a great product. I love their food, their service, and their people. No private company, including Chick-fil-A, should be punished for their beliefs.
