We understand why many people don’t want anything to do with politics: Our political system has become so corrupt and sickening that it turns off most voters. But that is due to the behavior of the two corporate parties. Decades of choosing between evils has led us to a place where we are facing numerous, interconnected crises. The work for Equal Ballot Access in Illinois is hard! Even if Illinois enacts Ranked Choice Voting, it is still hard for third-parties to get on the ballot without Equal Ballot Access. In 2021, Equal Ballot Access was brought forward in House Bill 2398, but it did not make it very far. Join us to work for Equal Ballot Access!

Warning: HR1/SR1 is undemocratically dangerous
While the Illinois Green Party (ILGP) supports many of the reforms in this bill such as protecting voter rights, expanding voters access to vote for two party tyranny candidates, election integrity and security, ethics for the three branches of government, and independently drawn congressional districts, there are also dangerous undemocratic poison pills that must be removed.
