Hi John --

When it comes to the current threats facing American democracy, Stacey Abrams is one of the best communicators in the Democratic Party. During a recent interview, she spoke plainly about Republicans undermining our election systems.

“The reality is, when you break democracy for anyone, you break it for everyone. … We're seeing a subversion of democracy.”

This statement encapsulates everything that makes Abrams such a political powerhouse -- the clarity and simplicity of what she is saying is the kind of unifying force that can win elections and heal our nation.

There is no denying that the threat to our country from voter fraud conspiracies and voter suppression laws, all spearheaded by radical Republican leaders, is existential. Despite zero evidence of any kind of widespread voter fraud occurring anywhere in the US during the 2020 elections, Republicans still continue to use those claims to pass new laws that will allow them to rule with minority support for years to come.

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp is leading the way with new, dangerous voting restrictions -- and we know why. Stacey Abrams herself is likely to challenge Kemp for the governorship in 2022. Kemp stole the election in 2018 by using dirty suppression tactics, and he's planning to double down in 2022 to defeat her once again.

Georgia is key to any progressive agenda Democrats will be able to pass in the near future, both in the Senate and the White House. We cannot afford to hand the keys to Georgia's election systems over to Brian Kemp again in 2022.

We've won in Georgia before because of the incredible support of people like you. We can't wait to do it again in 2022. Thanks.
