John, today could mark the beginning of the end of child poverty in the United States.

Thanks to the expanded Child Tax Credit, most American families will begin receiving monthly payments of $250 to $300 per child starting today. It is part of an effort to reduce taxes for middle-class families from the American Rescue Plan.

Lois worked hard alongside her Democratic allies in Congress to ensure that the American Rescue Plan included the temporary implementation of this measure, which experts estimate will cut child poverty nearly in half.

Now, Democrats are pushing to make this change permanent so that child poverty becomes a thing of the past in this country. Will you sign your name to join Lois in calling for the permanent expansion of the Child Tax Credit? [[link removed]]

As co-chair of the Democratic Women’s Caucus, Lois is working hard this year to pass transformative legislation to support American women and their families.

She was just endorsed by NARAL Pro-Choice America for her leadership on protecting reproductive rights, and she’s fighting for comprehensive investments to make child care affordable for every family.

No child should live in poverty in the wealthiest country on the planet — permanently expanding the Child Tax Credit would play a major role in ending child poverty for good.

Please sign your name here to join Lois in urging Congress to take the next step toward ending child poverty in the U.S. by permanently expanding the Child Tax Credit. [[link removed]]
