Starting today, millions of middle-class families will automatically begin receiving their child tax credit—up to $300 per child every month—directly deposited into their bank accounts.

That amounts to an average of $4,380 that parents can spend on the things their families need—like rent, groceries, and utility bills. And that’s all thanks to the American Rescue Plan.
