Yesterday, millions of families across the country received a $250–$300 check per child. 

The child tax credit allocates $250–$300 per child per month for working families. These checks will make a huge difference -- in fact, this credit is predicted to cut child poverty in half. That’s what Democrats mean when we say we’re working for you. 

But not a single Republican voted for this essential relief. Republican leaders are touting these checks, despite doing everything they could to block them. 

That’s why it’s so important we continue to build our progressive movement throughout the rest of the year and into 2022. Over the next few months, we’ll continue to organize and advocate.
